What is PTO, and why should I join?

Welcome to Heritage High School!

Our organization includes parents, guardians, teachers and staff who share the same goal:

IMPROVING THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF OUR STUDENTS. All funds directly benefit students, teachers and staff at Heritage High School. We appreciate your support of our school!

Your donation supports these HHS PTO programs, events and capital improvements.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation- Teacher and staff appreciation is a simple idea. It means showing teachers and staff that we value their work. Our goal is to enchance the educatonal environment at our school and energize teachers and staff with simple gestures, snacks and meals throughout the school year. 

HHS Dignity Closet - serves students in need, in a discreet manner, by providing basic everyday needs that are not being met due to living in poverty or homelessness. The Dignity Closet stocks new and gently used items with donations from the PTO members, parents, teachers, school staff and local vendors.  The closet inventory covers a wide range of items from basic grocery supplies, toiletries, school supplies, school spirit wear, athletic wear, women’s and men’s clothing, undergarments, shoes, new mother and baby supplies.  Students never pay for any items selected for their use in the closet and to return as needed throughout the year.

Bundle Up Heritage Coat Giveaway – annual event to provide any student with free coats, hats, scarfs and gloves to keep our students warm during the fall and winter season.

Heritage Angels- Each holiday season PTO volunteers purchase Christmas gifts for 8-10 HHS students who are experiencing economic difficulties. HHS Counselors work with the PTO to select students who are not receiving gifts from other community programs. 

HHS PTO Spirit Store - When you purchase t-shirts or other items from our on line Square Spirit store that money stays with the PTO as well and helps support our students and teachers.

Bonnie Grimes Award- Each year the PTO recognizes a teacher, counselor or administrator for their outstanding service to Rogers Heritage High School.

Pride of Heritage Award – Each year the PTO recognizes a non-certified staff member, aide, cafeteria staff, administrative assistant or nurse for their outstanding service to Rogers Heritage High School.

Heritage PTO Scholarship – Each year HHS PTO sponsors scholarships for Heritage High School graduating seniors who demonstrate leadership, community service, and academic achievement.

HHS Gathering Place Student Lounge & Flexible Classroom Space located at the top of the grand staircase was furnished with donations from PTO members and grants in winter of 2019.
